Ted

Hi everyone! My name is Theodore, but everyone calls me Ted. I am 10 years old and in the 5th grade. I attend Homeroom, Math, Reading, Science, Gym, Lunch and Recess with all the other kids. I spend about 90 minutes a day with the Special Education teacher to work on my IEP goals and go swimming every Monday at the YMCA.

I am also in the Band and am learning the Percussion instruments with the drums being my favorite. I like school and I ride a big yellow school bus to and from school.

I had open heart surgery when I was 5 years old to repair a hole in my heart called an ASD. I also have Hypothyroidism and for that I take medication every day. Nothing slows me down though, I love to sing and dance with the Wiggles. I love to watch television and musicals like The Music Man and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Coat are some of my favorites.

My mom takes care of other peoples children while they work so I always have lots of children to play with before and after school. In the summer I go to camp for 6 weeks and just love it. My mom says there are no strangers when she is out with me. I say hi to everyone and tell them my name and ask them their name.
